Military Events

Charlie left VPI and entered the Fourth Officers' Training Camp at Camp Sevier in May 1918. He was transferred to Camp Gordon where he finished his course and received his commission. Was assigned to the Second Replacement Regiment at that Camp, and four weeks later was sent to France. He was part of the Army of Occupation and was stationed on special duty at Brest, France.
