Lucius Fletcher was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1893, and would grow up there. He enrolled in VPI in 1914, graduating just two years later as an agriculture major. Claiming exemption from the draft due to his occupation, he would return to his hometown to start a farm and a family, but tragically passed away in 1921.
